Exhibition Introduction
Previous Fair:

“The 3rd China International Metal Working Technology & Equipment

Exhibition” was held successfully on Aug,21-24,2007, and was the

largest scale show in Binhai international convention and exhibition

centre this year. The exhibition got an attendance of 587 companies(

foreign and foreign investment enterprises took 21%) with 1231

booths. Many world-famous companies such as HAAS, AgieCharmilles,

YAMAZEN, BDI, ZEISS, MITSUBISHI, OSG, HARTFORD, Beijing Jingdiao,

Tianjin No.1 Machine Tool Works, have taken part with great

enthusiasm.
The exhibition attracted visiting delegations from 37 regions of five

provinces and two cities of Bohai-Rim, During the show, the arrivals

was about 19,000, of which the number of professional visitors and

buyers was 9,700. This exhibition has become the largest industry

exhibition of north.

Most of the exhibitors said that the number of professional visitors

was much higher than other similar exhibitions in Tianjin, so as the

information quantity and trading volume. Many exhibitors showed great

interests with the show in 2008, and more than 40 companies filled in

the application form for the next.

About Tianjin Binhai New Area:
Promoting the development and opening –up of Tianjin Binhai New Area

(TBNA) is an important strategic arrangement made by the Central

Committee of CPC and the State Council, based on the overall

situation of China’s economic and social development at the new

stage of the new century.

The function orientation of TBNA is set as follows. With the support

of Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipality and Hebei Province, the

TBNA aims to serve the circum-Bohai region, to extend her driving

force to North China, Northeast China and Northwest China and face

Northeast Asia. Efforts will be exerted to build TBNA as the gateway

of North China for opening-up, a grade-A modern manufacturing, R&D,

and incubation center, an international shipping and logistics center

of North China.

According to an official statistic, there were 1050 newly approved

foreign—invested companies in 2006. Averagely, at least 3 foreign

companies invested in Tianjin every working day. The general

assembling factory of the Air Bus A320 in China (Tianjin) was set up

in this area and the industrialization base of New Generation Launch

Vehicle started at October,2007 with a total investment of RMB4.5

billion. It’s a great chance to develop the manufacture industry of

Tianjin.
